Originally from Venezuela, Laurin earned a Bachelor in Mass Communication with minor in Audivosual Arts from Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas. After relocating to Chicago in 2012 Laurin earned certifications in Creative Writing from Story Studio Chicago and in Content Strategy from Northwestern University.
Laurin has a particular passion for professional development and cultures, serving as a mentor for DePaul University foreign students on their efforts to succeed personal and professionally in the US.
Now Laurin is the Program Manager at the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) focusing on leading the Mujeres de HACE Program across the US, managing strategic partnerships for the program, recruiting potential candidates, developing a variety of strategies for the cohorts and its componets.
Prior to this role, Laurin was the Client Relations Manager at Inspire Business Center, an office space in Chicago's West Loop, working directly with the Principal, Laurin succesfully developed strategic partnerships for IBC, created signature events like the '60607 Fest', and strategized all Marketing & Sales efforts, resulting on reaching over 90% of full capacity of the space in less than 2 years. Right after finishing college, Laurin worked for over two years as the Associate Marketing & Business Development for Ernst & Young Venezuela, developing a digital marketing strategy for the big four and working closely with Partners and Directors to strategize target market efforts. And during her college years she worked at the Cultural Department at the Andres Bello Catholic University helping to serve students and employees with a variety of events and programs.
Laurin's diverse professional background has gained her a rich set of skills and knowledge that allows her to exceed expectations in the roles that she has played, by being able to adapt to different enviroments, understand cultural backgrounds and bring solutions to any table.
