Eloy Gutierrez was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He is a first generation college graduate and earned a bachelor degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Houston- Downtown in 2009.

As of 2017, he is currently a CPA candidate and has 7 years of professional accounting experience. His professional career started in governmental accounting as an accounting clerk and worked up as a mid-level accountant in the Harris County Auditors Office working in financial reporting on the largest accounting ledger for the 3rd largest county in the U.S.

Eloy currently works as a staff analyst at Phillips 66, one of the 3rd largest downstream/midstream oil & gas companies. He supports the commercial business group in commercial financial and marketing services.

Eloy has served as as resident advisor in 2010 for the Hispanic Institute Symposium at Dallas Texas. He served as a high school youth minister coordinator from 2011-2015 at his home parish and continues to work as a CORE member at his church high school youth ministry program. He is passionate working with high school students and encouraging them to continue learning through higher education. In 2017 he began serving as the Hispanic Alliance Career Enhancement- Houston Chapter president.
