“I'm a junior at the University of Houston-Downtown. I'm majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration on Social Work, a minor in Spanish, and a minor in General Business. When I moved here from Mexico, I realized that education opened a lot of doors for people and that motivated me to excel in school. This has afforded me many opportunities, like traveling across the country to meeting politicians. My exposure to different environments has opened my eyes to interesting perspectives. With Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, I am able to return to all the great things I've been exposed to by sharing my experiences with the younger versions of myself that have the same outlook of a better future with higher education."

“I want to start by thanking HACE for creating this wonderful program. When I decided to join the program I expected to learn what to do and what not to do with respect to my career. What I actually learned was so much more. MdH took me on a journey of self discovery like never before. The program allowed me to be me, a strong, powerful, smart Latina. This was one of the best investments in myself that I have ever made.”
