WE ARE HACE – Joslyn Steffens

During this program I got the opportunity to understand college more. The trips were amazing and now I have a few colleges in mind for me to attend. One trip I really enjoyed was our field trip to the Federal Reserve Bank. We learned how to dress professionally and also about other outfits that were appropriate for work. We were also interviewed for the first time. At first I was scared but afterwards it wasn’t that bad. We practiced our handshakes, eye contact, and speaking skills. This trip got me thinking about possible working here in the future. For my junior year I plan to prepare myself for college. I will attend school every day, study hard and ask for help when needed. I also plan to apply to many scholarships and do more research on schools that I would like to attend one of them being Northwestern.
