Vice President of Leadership Programs

Lynette Correa-Velez, M.Ed. is the Vice President of Leadership Programs at the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE). Lynette is an innovative, bilingual/bicultural, trained #CriticalCareerCoach leader with over 20 years of professional experience in program development and management to co-empower individuals from all industries with a DEIAJ-centered lens as a practitioner-scholar-social engineer. Lynette has received 17 awards and honors for her tremendous support and advocacy for access to opportunities for all such as being a finalist for the 2023 Chicago Innovation Awards. She has earned over 8 certifications and recently accepted into Harvard Business School to attain her Certificate in Design Thinking and Innovation. Lynette is a former Leadership Coach at the Illinois Leadership Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and an alum of the national Colorwave Tech Fellowship Program, The Ladder Mentoring Fellowship, Emerging Community Leaders Program at the United Way of Champaign County, and the Emerging Leaders Program at the University of MA-Boston. She is an active member of several professional associations including Latinas in Tech, Blacks in Tech Foundation, NACE, ALPFA, and more. She serves on the Board of Advisors for the Women’s Mentoring Co-Op and an inaugural Associate Board of Director both at Chicago Innovation. She has doctoral training in DEI in Education with a focus in HRD at UIUC and an alum of UIUC with her M.Ed. in HRD and Management of e-Learning for Workplace Learning & Training. She has her B.S. in Business & H.R. Management and a Minor in Psychology from Lesley College located in her home state of Massachusetts. Lynette is a first-generation high school and college graduate and lives/works in Chicago, IL with her family.
