I’m an Afro-Brazilian girl, oldest of 3 amazing sisters and daughter of a superhero father and regal mother, granddaughter of a woman who moved to one of the biggest metropolises in the world by herself at age 12 in 1935. I grew up with them showing me that everything is fo’real fo’real possible. I was never the kind of kid who had career aspirations and knew what I would do when I grow up. But I was always the friend people would confide in, share challenges, ask for advice, and I always love to be this person, just never knew it could be a professional.
I moved to California 1 week before turning 30 years old, and although I did because I was feeling lost in life and career I also knew in my heart I was the right thing to do. I started a t-shirt business, later a natural products e-commerce company, but the ding-ding-ding moment happened when I enrolled in the coaching school, that was when realized what I always wanted
to do: change lives.

I call Austin, Texas home but I’m working on becoming a citizen of the world and being able to live everything this Mother Earth has to offer. Patricia remains fixed on member needs, revenue turnaround and growth, all the while focusing internally on a staff that had to shift to a remote-only workplace during one of the highest growth years since the inception of HACE. The year 2020 saw her leadership take a front seat to increasing activity around a newly virtual workforce, where she acted with urgency, communicated with transparency, sought diverse opinions from her team and board and led with empathy, ultimately leading a thriving organization during such a tumultuous time.

Oscar is an introvert turned international speaker and trainer. Oscar is a first-generation professional. His parents had less than a middle school education. As a Mexican American, Oscar’s dual cultural identity has been an asset and a liability. In the USA, Oscar is “too Mexican”. In Mexico, Oscar is “too gringo”. Oscar learned to embrace my journey, value his identity, and the power of vulnerability.
