Partnership dEVELOPMENT Manager

Steve Sereno is the Hispanic Alliance for Career Engagement’s (HACE) Partnership Development Manager. Steve is responsible for growing and strengthening our national network through business development, partnership management, and community activation. By developing new strategic partnerships, Steve works to elevate HACE’s reach and impact for our Latino communities nationwide.

Prior to joining HACE, Steve served as Development and Partnerships Director for the Friends of the National Museum of the American Latino, a non-profit dedicated to establishing a national museum in Washington D.C. to educate, inspire, and celebrate the richness and diversity of the American Latino experience. Steve was instrumental in the team’s success to see federal legislation passed and signed into law in 2020 that officially established the museum as a project of the Smithsonian Institution. In this role, Steve managed all longstanding and new corporate development partnerships for the organization, including its board of directors and select programming. In addition, Steve was a Senior Associate of Government Affairs and Policy Counsel at Raben. His expertise included designing and executing political strategies for corporations and advocacy groups. Through lobbying and fostering connections between policymakers and community leaders at the federal, state, and local levels, Steve’s government affairs experience focused on driving change to power for historically marginalized communities across industries.

Steve is from Dallas,Texas and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, having majored in Government with a minor in Business & Public Policy. Steve is the son of a Nicaraguan immigrant mother and an Italian American father and attributes his passion for service to them. Steve’s favorite hobbies include olympic weightlifting, cocktail crafting, and (attempting to) perfect his mother’s Arroz con Pollo y Bistec Encebollado recipes.
