Alexandra Turcios

Co-Marketing Chair

Alexandra Turcios serves as the Co-Marketing Chair for the HACE Young Professionals Board. She is presently a Management Consultant & Strategy Analyst for Accenture, one of the largest global consultancy firms in the world. As a consultant, Alexandra works with Fortune 100 companies to innovate and streamline business operations and implement new technologies. She is an active leader at Accenture, serving as the Communications Lead for the Hispanic-American Employee Resource Group (HAERG) to create programming, cultivate community, and curate thought leadership. She is also a Team Lead Volunteer for Sky’s the Limit, which offers business advice to aspiring low-income, minority entrepreneurs.

She is also the Founder of “Built in Detroit” a platform that connects young professionals through in-person and digital engagement, leveraging career expertise and pooling knowledge from a growing membership.

Her prior career positions include working as a Global Alumni Engagement Lead for A.T. Kearney, a boutique consultancy firm, and as a Digital Content Operations Specialist for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. She also briefly worked as a Student Services Specialist at the College of Lake County to help increase minority and low-income students post-secondary enrollment through the TRiO Program, and break the “information gap” for first-generation students.

A native of Waukegan, Illinois with Honduran-American roots, Alexandra is a first-generation college graduate herself, and a proud Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she graduated as a James Scholar, Bronze Scholar awardee and is affiliated with the top Honors Societies. She is the original Founder and President of the Association of Minorities in Political Science (AMPS) on campus, which still operates today.

After graduating, she was selected as one of 25 Fulbright Scholars — a prestigious post-graduate fellowship that received over 1,000 applications — that sent her to Indonesia for a year to spearhead learning and business development in the small town of Kendari. She worked closely with the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassy contacts.

Alexandra has a proven track record of setting goals and exceeding expectations. She is an alumna of the HACU Scholar award, HISLEA award, Gamma Phi Omega Mujeres Avanzando recipient, Washington Media Scholar, Fueling the Minds of the Future awardee and more.

In her freetime, she enjoys reading, yoga and self-care, attending art galleries, exploring the food scene in Chicago, practicing mixology, investing, and international travel.
