Angel Lira

Community Service Chair

Angel is an Implementation Analyst at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois (BCBSIL). As an Implementation Analyst, Angel is responsible for leading client focused implementations for new and renewing accounts as well as managing implementation project activities of moderate to high complexity. He is responsible for implementation progress, issues, and risks surrounding the implementation. Angel also works with all business areas that impact the client experience including internal and external customers and works to cultivate partnerships within those business areas. He is also involved and serves as the Co-Chair for the Culture Committee for BCBSIL’s Latinos for Advancement Business Resource Group.

Prior to working at HCSC/BCBSIL, Angel was a Senior Operations Manager at Junior Achievement of Chicago. He managed a region of Elementary and Middle schools within the Latino communities in the South side of Chicago. He partnered schools with various corporate and university partners to serve as mentors through hosting career days and presenting JA workshop-materials with focus on Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Career Readiness.

Angel graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

He currently serves as the Community Service Chair for the Hispanic Alliance Young Professional Board. On his spare time, Angel likes to spend time with his Wife and daughters (3-year and 5-month old).
