Panelists will discuss how online storytelling, social media, and virtual communities have been used to bridge gaps in remote work, create meaningful connections, and amplify underrepresented voices. The session will highlight both the challenges and opportunities of building authentic relationships in a digital space while maintaining cultural identity and promoting inclusion in spaces such as employee/business resource groups.
This session focuses on leveraging storytelling to support and inspire meaningful allyship for immigrant and DACA employees in the workplace. Through personal narratives, practical tools attendees will learn how to identify opportunities for allyship, use storytelling as a tool for advocacy, and create systems of support that empower immigrant and DACA employees. Attendees will learn how storytelling can increase awareness of the unique challenges and contributions of immigrant and DACA individuals to create safe spaces for dialogue, amplify underrepresented voices, and foster a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.
