“Being a barrier breaker to me means overcoming obstacles that limit opportunity and helping create a path so others can move forward more easily. I am a first-generation Latina and gun violence survivor. Despite challenges, I became the first in my family to graduate from college, serve as valedictorian, build a professional career, and become debt free. These experiences showed me the power of education, opportunity, support, and grit. While navigating life as a military spouse and mother, I remain committed to empowering emerging leaders to see what’s possible and claim their place in spaces of leadership porque sí se puede.“
