“Being a Barrier Breaker means choosing to show up fully, even in spaces that were not designed with you in mind. As a Latina, I had to challenge the belief that staying humble meant staying silent, and instead embrace self-advocacy as a form of growth and leadership. I also navigated the insecurity of language and accent, learning to see my voice as a strength rather than a limitation. When I found the confidence to communicate my value, I gained access to opportunities that allowed me to grow and support others along the way. Because when one of us rises, we all rise.
