Yahaira G. Corona is a dynamic diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) champion, accomplished HR Business Partner, and passionate leader with 12 + years of progressive experience leading the execution of HR initiatives and cultivating a culture of equity fairness and respect.

She is the Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at ALDI, US, driving leadership awareness, commitment, and accountability for DE&I initiatives. Yahaira plays a central role in expanding the grocery retailers’ DE&I program. Previously, she served as a Senior Project Manager, Diversity & Inclusion, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, managing community partnerships, strategies related to DE&I trends, and inclusive communications plans. Yahaira has a unique blend of human resources and social justice reform experiences, which have allowed her to drive strategy and empower people and organizations to thrive holistically. Formerly, Yahaira worked as a Human Resources Generalist for Ventas Inc. and a Senior Employee Relations Specialist at JLL. She also served as a community ambassador for domestic violence and sexual assault victims throughout Kane and Cook County. As a Legal Advocate with Sarah’s Inn and a Case Manager at the City of Elgin, she facilitated training on social services, victims’ rights, and the legal system to area schools and community agencies.

Yahaira contributes to the national dialogue of DE&I, serving the Latino community and supports the most vulnerable. Yahaira served as Chair for the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) ‘s Young Professionals Board. As Chair, Yahaira led a large team of young professionals to make more employment, development, and advancement opportunities available to HACE’s diverse and intergenerational membership. Additionally, Yahaira served as Co-Chair for HACE’s Strategic Planning Committee and was a recipient of HACE’s “Redefining Leadership Award” for her leadership and service to the organization. Negocios Now recognized Yahaira as a “Latinos 40 under 40” recipient for her positive contributions to young Latinos in the Chicago area, DE&I leadership, management of Employee Resource Groups, and leading a national nonprofit auxiliary board.

Yahaira received her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from DePaul University. Yahaira attributes her leadership to a lineage of fearless Puerto Rican women.
